With a brand-new open-air concert series, METAStadt in Vienna’s 22nd district became the musical epicenter of Austria’s capital city for the first time in 2019. At the premiere and during the following seasons in 2022 and 2024, national newcomers and international legends took the stage at the “most beautiful building in Stadlau” – with artists such as AIR, ALT-J, CRO, CYPRESS HILL, ELEMENT OF CRIME, GIANT ROOKS, GRETA VAN FLEET, JUNGLE, KHRUANGBIN, KORN, MICHAEL KIWANUKA, PARCELS, PATTI SMITH, PAUL KALKBRENNER, SARAH CONNOR, SCOOTER, SIDO, SKUNK ANANSIE, THE 1975, THE KOOKS and many more!
In 2025, we deliberately took a year off from METAStadt Open Airs to evaluate the project. The good news: Starting in 2026, METAStadt will continue to be a firmly established open-air venue for the next ten years, and we’re excited to already share some first details and confirmed dates for the upcoming summer season 2026 with you.
BIBIZA Franz is a true Viennese – from 1060, Mariahilf. But next summer, he’ll venture across the Danube and stop by the Donaustadt district for an open-air concert. Tickets for the show on July 24, 2026 are available now at all well-stocked ticket outlets! And the summer of 2026 won’t just be loud, emotional, and unforgettable thanks to this Viennese local – WINCENT WEISS will also make sure of that as part of his major summer tour, with a stop in Vienna! This time, the German pop singer-songwriter promises a live experience that’s bigger, closer, and more intense than ever before. He’ll also be performing under the open sky at METAStadt.
