AF90

Andreas Födinger aka AF90 has been a staple of the Austrian pop scene for years. As a founding member of Bilderbuch and part of Farewell Dear Ghost, he's racked up plenty of awards and acclaim. Since 2022, he's been carving out his own path – and killing it. FM4 charts, Soundportal charts, airplay across Germany, the UK and the US, an “XA Export Award” nomination, support slots with Parov Stelar and Shout Out Louds – the résumé speaks for itself.

AF90 is fun. He provokes, inspires, polarizes, and skewers stereotypes. Eclectic pop channeling Prince and The Revolution. Sharp takes on responsibility – who owns it, who's lost it, who's dodging it. Direct, minimal, dripping with irony. It's the 80s refracted through today – like the Talking Heads jamming with Dua Lipa. A performance style that's completely inseparable from the man himself. AF90's vision of pop is bold, infectious, and entirely his own. His live band morphs into a six-piece beast that hits audiences like a tidal wave. After the polished mini-album "Big Business" (2024), AF90 is pushing things even further with "Drugs on the Weekend."

The single says it all: groovy, irresistible, off-kilter – yet annoyingly catchy. AF90 takes a serious subject and wraps it in a dark pop-disco banger, blending the spirit of the Talking Heads with the hooks of Dua Lipa or The 1975. A hedonistic response to the existential dread of modern life. A driving anthem for anyone desperate to escape the grind – if only for a weekend. Raw energy the world's been missing.
