Clemens Bäre, also known as doppelfinger, is a songwriter, storyteller, and seeker of subtle truths. He is a fingerpicker, a boundary-crosser, and an architect of fragility and strength. doppelfinger is more than just a name – it is an artistic universe where emotions and melodies meet in quiet revelation. Clemens Bäre, the person and mind behind the project, grew up in Upper Austria and discovered, through guitar and early musical experiments, a language that is honest, fragile, and free of artificial effects.
With his 2022 debut album „By Design“, doppelfinger established himself as one of the most sensitive voices in the Austrian scene, full of intimacy and precision. Minimalist yet intricate arrangements allow his songs to reveal vast spaces where loss, longing, and quiet hope can be felt.
Since his debut, Clemens Bäre has performed not only in Austria but also on international stages, making a name for himself – from club shows to festivals such as Popfest Wien. His work has also earned recognition in his home country, including FM4 Soundpark support and an Amadeus Austrian Music Award nomination, bringing his songwriting to a wider audience. Currently, the musician is working on his second full-length album. On October 31, 2025, he already released the first single from the new record, „Tough“ – atmospheric, calm, and intense.
In Austria, doppelfinger is considered „one of the country’s best singer-songwriters” (FM4) with „international ambition” (The Gap) – a standard he is set to impressively uphold with his upcoming work.
