Frauds are a long-running two-piece alt-rock project that first emerged from South London (Croydon) in 2012. Over the years, they’ve released a handful of self-produced EPs and albums through British indie label Alcopop!, crafting a sound that shifts between punk, garage rock, and sharp, sarcastic lyricism—always with a distinct British identity. Playful in nature yet big in sound, Frauds built a loyal cult following in the UK scene, coming up alongside and sharing stages with bands like IDLES, Mclusky, Future Of The Left, Ditz, JOHN, and USA Nails.
By 2025, life has taken the band in different directions—Mike relocated to Vienna with his partner in 2022—but rather than slowing things down, this shift has opened up new creative possibilities. Despite the distance, they’ve crafted a new album, which is now ready to be unleashed across Europe.
While Frauds took a break from the live circuit, Chris joined London noise-rock group The None, featuring Gordon Moakes of Bloc Party, playing shows with Metz, The Jesus Lizard, Les Savy Fav, and Mannequin Pussy. Now, as 2025 unfolds, it’s time for Frauds to step back into the spotlight and take on Europe.
