Somewhere between hip-hop, soul, R&B, alternative rock, and the heart of Vienna, you'll find newcomers Hidden Gemz: this young band effortlessly combines different elements from various corners of the musical universe – Falter magazine immediately dubbed it “hip-hop without genre purism,” and FM4 stated: “Hidden Gemz is the next big thing coming our way.”
The Gemz combine a wide variety of styles to create an innovative mix that has never been heard before. In recent months, they have already played on big stages (LIDO SOUNDS, Waves Vienna, KiezKultur) with their impressive live performances – and sold out Flex in Vienna for their first headline show. In April 2024, the three-piece band consisting of Didier Kurazikubone (vocals), Mateo Schmid (electric guitar), and Jonas Strondl (drums) released their first EP and are now working on new music, which they are recording and producing entirely on their own.
