Irish alternative-folk band Madra Salach are one of the most exciting new acts of the UK and European live circuit. The six-piece collective blend traditional Irish music, experimental folk and raw, contemporary energy into a sound that is as hypnotic as it is explosive. Their intense, unpredictable live shows have taken them to renowned festivals including Primavera Sound, Roskilde, End of the Road, Green Man, Latitude and The Great Escape.
Their debut EP, “It’s a Hell of an Age”, released in January, reached No. #3 in the Irish Albums Charts and entered Top-10 in the “UK Official Independent Album Charts”. Two tracks, “The Man Who Seeks Pleasure” and “Blue & Gold”, also made it onto BBC Radio 6 Music’s playlist. With their latest single, “Ribbon Factory”, Madra Salach push their distinctive blend of Irish roots and punk-infused intensity even further.
Following a successful festival season and sold-out headline shows across the UK, the band are building serious international momentum, with three sold-out shows in New York already under their belt. And there is more to come…
