AWARENESS INFO
IKKIMEL AWARENESS CONCEPT
Dear guests,
We're glad you're all here!
So that we can all celebrate together, it matters to us that we treat each other with respect and care, respect everyone's personal boundaries, and do our best to avoid discrimination, judgment and boundary violations.
To ensure this for you and for us, we have developed an awareness concept. We explicitly ask you to read it, take it to heart, and in doing so help create a great experience for the whole audience.
By buying a ticket, you accept our awareness concept and commit to following the rules set out in it. In case of violations, we reserve the right to remove guests from the event under our house rules. In this case, there is no entitlement to a refund of the ticket price or any other compensation.
If you have questions, comments or concerns, please contact us at: ruhebereich@edition-zero.com
1. OUR AWARENESS PRINCIPLES
Sexism, queerphobia and transphobia, racism, antisemitism, ableism, classism and every other form of group-focused enmity have no place here.
The three principles of our understanding of awareness (via Safe The Dance):
Consent: Individual boundaries are respected. Only yes means yes.
Power of Definiton: The affected person always decides where an assault begins, and has the right to decide how things proceed after the incident.
Partiality: The affected person's perception is not questioned. Solidarity comes first.
2. OUR BASIC AWARENESS RULES
1. We respect and protect the personal boundaries of every individual.
2. We take people's experience of being affected seriously and try to resolve conflicts without time pressure or outside coercion.
3. Assaults, violence and any form of discrimination and discriminatory behavior (e.g. based on gender identity, sexual orientation, origin, age, disability/illness, social status, ethnicity or religion) are not tolerated.
4. We do not accept sexualized violence, harassment or any boundary-violating behavior.
5. Aggressive behavior in any form is not tolerated.
6. We look out for each other, protect one another, and step in when someone needs help.
7. If we notice discriminatory or boundary-violating behavior, we speak up. Support is available from security or at any bar.
8. Everyone should be able to celebrate freely. In the mosh pit, be considerate: whoever is bigger or stronger gives others the space they need.
9. As guests, we commit to not wearing smart glasses or filming with them.
3. UNISEX & FLINTA* TOILETS
To ensure the safety of FLINTA* people, we offer unisex toilets and at least one FLINTA* toilet on the evening of our performance, where possible. The toilets are labeled accordingly.
4. PROTECTED AREA
Where space allows, we set up a protected area for people in need of more protection who cannot or do not want to experience the concert in the middle of the crowd (e.g. pregnant, autistic and/or neurodivergent people). The area is signposted and clearly recognizable. Where possible, there is no smoking, no alcohol is served and no other drugs are consumed there. One companion may come into the area with you.
If you would like to use the protected area, see the information on the protected area above.
5. INCLUSION
Information on the accessibility of the venue can be found on the website of the respective venue. Where the premises allow, there is a separate area for people with disabilities as well as a raised platform for wheelchair users. Necessary companions receive a free companion ticket. Please contact the respective organizers in advance for this.
At the entrance, we point out the use of strobe and similar light effects, out of consideration for people with photosensitivity.
6. SAFER USE STATION
We care about the health of our audience. Where possible, there will be a safer use station at the show run by a local prevention and addiction support project, where you can get information, counseling and safer use materials.
Thank you for your support! We look forward to the concert with you!
