One of the most distinctive voices of the Austrian underground is now part of our roster!
FARCE is the project and artistic alter ego of German producer, songwriter, and performer Veronika J. König, based in Vienna since 2015. Drawing from punk and black metal influences, she has developed a distinctive form of experimental electronic pop, blending noise, AutoTune, industrial beats, and avant-pop songwriting. Early releases and shows in Viennas DIY scene quickly gained attention, leading to airplay on radio FM4 and establishing her as a key voice in the Austrian underground.
With “Heavy Listening” (2018) FARCE reached an international audience and played festivals such as Popfest Wien, Donaufestival Krems and Hyperreality. This was followed by “Trauma Bounce” (2020), featuring the FM4-#1-single “Déjà Vu” and “Not To Regress” (2022), further refining her intense, experimental sound. Her upcoming album “The Label” (June 2026) continues to push pop as a flexible, deconstructable form, exploring identity, visibility, and social structures through dense synth layers and industrial textures. Queerness operates here as both theme and method – favoring decentralization, intimacy, and fluidity.
Alongside her solo work, FARCE produces for artists including Sophia Blenda, Pandora Nox or Mavi Phoenix and composes for film, TV, and theatre. She has toured across Europe and the UK, played festivals such as The Great Escape and Primavera Sound, and collaborated widely across genres. And FARCE has been on Arcadia Lives radar for some time too – so we are excited to officially welcome her to the Arcadia Family now.
