JAMES BLUNT ANNOUNCES "AIRPLANE MODE TOUR" FOR NEXT YEAR!

UK singer-songwriter to perform in Innsbruck and Vienna in March 2027.

James Blunt is taking off again. Following the release of his new album “Airplane Mode” in November 2026, the British singer-songwriter will embark on an extensive European tour – including two dates in Austria: 6th March 2027 at Olympiahalle Innsbruck and 7th March 2027 at Wiener Stadthalle. With the breezy first single “Tastes Like Summer” and the more reflective follow-up “Weight Of It All”, Blunt has already offered a first taste of the new record.

“Airplane Mode” brings together twelve stories about being on the move, taking new paths and navigating the small and major turbulences of life. From the anthemic “Circles” and the driving groove of “Oh Daisy” to the raw emotion of “Modern Love”, the album showcases the mix of lightness, melancholy and sharp observation that has defined Blunt’s songwriting throughout his career. “Somewhere along the way I lost myself, but found myself again in a studio in Banbury,” he says of the recording process.

Recorded largely with his long-standing live band, “Airplane Mode” also promises to translate naturally to the stage. In March 2027, Blunt and his band will bring the new songs and familiar favourites to audiences across Europe, with Austrian fans getting two chances to experience the tour live in Innsbruck and Vienna.
